Dale Melnyk from Chatham Ontario, leaving behind his wife of many years Charlotte passed on in May of 1996 as a result of a single vehicle Motorcycle accident failing to navigate a curve near Algonac Michigan. At the time of his passing Dale had just won our mileage run from the year previous and was our 1996 elected Vice Chairman.
Roger Wormington May 1996 died when his Motorcycle collided with a farmers implement that was hanging over the center line of the road in his lane in the dark. Roger was one his way home from work after just visiting a few friends along the way.
Harry De Hann passed in July 2004 as a result of the vehicle in front of him swerving to miss a vehicle coming at that vehicle in their lane. The Car in front of Harry missed the oncoming vehicle, it however hit Harry head on. Harry was on his way home from work. The driver of the car was charged with Careless Driving and fought the charge trying to make it into the most minor offence possible.
